No, it’s not a crystal ball. It simulates what could happen given current trends. The simulator is an excellent critical thinking tool to help learn about real-life cause and effect trades offs aimed at a sustainable future.

To start, perhaps have students choose the same watershed. As they get more confident, perhaps examine other watersheds and compare observations.

BC Tomorrow has supports throughout the entire process- tutorials, lessons/answer keys, instructional videos, … use what’s available and learn alongside students.

“Watersheds – What are those” is a specific lesson, or, incorporates a “big-buddy” model with older students.
